Glossary

Alfalfa - Is one of the most nutritious foods, high in vitamin K, and has antibiotic and anti-tumor properties.  Heals  ulcers and is good for colon disorders, anemia, hemorrhaging and arthritis.  Alfalfa aids in increased energy levels due to its high nutritive value.  It also alkalizes and detoxifies the body.  Alfalfa sprouts are easy to grow in the kitchen.

Anti-inflammatory - A substance that reduces swelling and pain due to irritation, infection or injury.

Antioxidant - Compound that prevents destructive free radical or oxidative damage to tissues or cells.

Antiseptic - A substance that destroys bacteria and prevents infection.  Also helps to prevent tissue degeneration.

Antiviral -  Weakens or opposes the action of a virus.

Arjuna - It contains Q-ten enzymes as well as triterpine glycosides that are helpful in normal functioning of heart and arteries.  It controls blood pressure abnormality.

Ashwangandha Root –  used to boost the immune system, improve memory, promote overall wellness, reduce inflammation, treat tumors, decrease stress, increasing mental activity, and as an antioxidant against infection or illness.

Astragalus - Increases the production of interferon, an immune factor that inhibits viral growth. 

Barberry Root Bark - Stimulates liver, gallbladder and bile flow.

Bentonite Clay - Deposits of weathered volcanic ash.  It is one of the most effective natural intestinal detoxifying agents.  It contains minerals, that once inside the gastrointestinal tract, are able to absorb toxins and are expelled.

Candidiasis -  An infection brought about when the yeast-like fungi, Candida Albicans, grows out of control.  It is usually the result of a weakened immune system.

Chlorella - is a fresh water, single-celled algae that grows in fresh water.  Chlorella contains the highest amount of chlorophyll of any known plant.  It is thought to boost the immune system and help fight infection. It has been shown to increase the good bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract, which helps to treat ulcers, colitis, diverticulosis and Crohn's disease. It is also used to treat constipation, fibromyalgia, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Chlorella has been used to treat cancer and also help protect the body from the effects of cancer radiation treatment.  It is a nutrient-dense superfood that contains 60% protein, 18 amino acids (including all the essential amino acids), and various vitamins and minerals. 

Cinnamon - It is used for colds, flatulence, nausea, diarrhea, and painful menstrual period. It is also believed to improve energy, vitality, and circulation.

Cloves -  Powerful medicinal properties.  Antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antiseptic.   An all around healing herb for the digestive system.

Dandelion Root -  As a powerful diuretic, it helps clear obstructions and stimulate the liver to eliminate toxins from the blood. 

Detoxification - Rid the body of accumulated harmful substances.  A cleansed, detoxified body is able to heal itself of a variety of common ailments.  Therefore, cleansing is expected to lead to improved health.

Don Quai - Regulates menstrual disorders and menopausal symptoms; eases fleeting muscle and joint pains, especially when worsened by damp conditions.

Echinacea - Used as a blood cleaner and especially for skin disorders, such as boils and abcesses, considered a valuable alternative to antibiotics.  This herb has a very strong immune activating abilities as it activates the white blood cells to fight off both bacterial and viral infections.  It also activates the body's production of interferon, a specific protein which protects cells against the invasion of viruses.

pH - Acidity and alkalinity are measured in pH (potential of hydrogen). The pH scale is from 0 to 14.  The most acidic is 0 and 14 is the most alkaline.  Every solution is either acidic or alkaline.  A pH of 7.0 is neutral.  A pH below 7.0 is acidic.  A pH above 7.0 is alkaline.
